Overview
Angels Local 437 is a satirical comedy chronicling the trials and tribulations of working for the man upstairs. The 10 episode series provides viewers with a witty escape while proving that no matter where you work, there’s always a story to tell.
Angels was produced in association with ACTRA Toronto, the CMPA and stars Ennis Esmer (The Listener) and Tom Barnett (CSI: Miami, The Boondock Saints).
Synopsis
Nate and Joel are disgruntled employees at the universe’s largest corporation: Heaven. While they should be focused on their overwhelming workload (performing miracles, bringing tidings of great joy, etc.) they are too often bogged down with the bureaucracy, paperwork, and office politics that accompany any job. Each day the two Angels meet for lunch – outside the pearly gates, away from their omnipresent bosses where they take comfort in bitching and complaining with one another.
