A new original web series entitled “Fans” is now live on LifeforceTV. The show follows “the misadventures of two roommates united in a charmingly tireless mission to uphold the noble standards set by comic book super heroes they revere, no matter what the cost.” The show was created by Kevin Coughlin and directed by Ryan Grassby and was shot entirely on location in Montreal. The first episode and a teaser trailer are up now.

Our project manager, Chantal is returning to speak at the CFTPA Prime Time conference in Ottawa this Thursday. She’s on a panel called “Meet the kids of the new brave new world”

Ever wonder what a young person thinks about television, the internet and digital content, and what they believe the future of media should be? In this session, CBC Radio’s Spark host, Nora Young speaks with a few twenty-somethings to find out.

Chantal will be speaking about the freshly launched version of LifeforceTV, and how we as Canadians need to make a greater footprint in the online entertainment world before we get lost in the shuffle.

It’s here. Exactly one year after LifeforceTV launched, version 2 of the site launches today. Featuring 3 new shows, the network is now home to 13 original Canadian series. You’ll notice that we’ve simplified the interface and removed the membership system. In in place is larger, higher quality video and an easier to navigate interface.

We’ll be actively adding new shows in 2010, and will continue to seek out the best Canadian web series on the internet.

We’ve refreshed the Lifeforce Ent. website today with an updated design, CMS system, and  focus on our service offerings of Branded Entertainment, and niche Product Videos. We trust you’ll like the changes and find the site easier to navigate.

We’ve opted to shift focus away from short form promotional videos and onto creating niche video training products that can be packaged as sold through various internet marketing channels. As part of the free training videos offered to niche community, the “Men’s Room”, we produced this exclusive interview with the judges from Comedy Networks hit show “Keys to the VIP”. The six part 40-minute interview can be seen by community members only at www.mensroom.tv, and features an interview my Mark Sparks with Peachez, Chris, and Sheldon on their experience making the show, and what they’ve learnt from watching men perform in a club environment.

Internally, we’re also working on the relaunch of mensroom.tv, and lifeforcetv.com which will bring updates and new content to both sites. We’ll keep you updated on their launch.

Two more show have joined the LifeforceTV lineup bringing the total now to eight. First we have Goodiebag TV, created by Toronto local, Kirby Ferguson, which showcases a variety of irreverent comedic sketches, and rants. Kirby has been creating video online for many years now, and has strong knack for entertaining in the short form.

The second show, takes things in a completely different direction. Radio Free Krakow, created by Winnipeg natives, Ryan Fitzgerald, and Timo Puolitaipale is a sci-fi series “that enlists the audience to join a paranoid hacker in his digital guerrilla war against a fascist criminal network”. Their show is premiering on LifeforceTV and the first episode of their by-weekly series is now online.

We’ve been busy building partnerships with Canadian content creators to offer their shows through LifeforceTV. The first two additions to the network are ‘Team Epic‘, the story of a group of ad-hoc superheroes, and ‘Handful of Minutes‘ a review show on the many things you didn’t know you needed to know about. We’re very pleased to have these shows as part of the network and we’re looking forward to announcing new partnerships as they unfold.
